Beijing restricts sales of cutting tools, requiring real name registration
If you don't bring the ID card, you are not able to buy kitchen knives and other cutting tools. Recently, in Beijing, the supermarkets and home stores published notices, stating that the real name registration is required when making purchases of cutting tools. People are asked to register their real names, addresses, ID numbers, and use of purpose for the cutting tools.

At around 9:30 am, October 10, 2011 the train No.1164 starting from Hancheng City, Shanxi Province to Beijing West Station derailed when it was about to arrive at Shijingshan South Station, Beijing, the last station before the destination Beijing West Station. No casualties were reported.
