Artist Yang Linchuan paints actress Cecilia Cheung in sex scandal

Famous artist and principal of an Arts and Sciences College in Nanjing, Yang Linchuan (杨林川, dubbed as “Principal / Headmaster of Nude Models” by netizens for him volunteering to posed nude for his students in class when the male nude model failed to turn up last year), recently triggered much controversy among the public for a nude painting exhibition held by him at Nanjing International Artist Village.

Nude portraits in Yang Linchuan’s exhibition appear to be of actresses Cecilia Cheung (张柏芝), Liu Xiaoqing (刘晓庆), and Sun Feifei (孙菲菲).

Yang was said to use the influence of the celebrities to promote himself, but he refused the saying because he felt he was already famous and his blog entries were often viewed hundreds of thousand times before the incident.

Facing the threat from Cecilia that she is going to bring him to the court, Yang appeared excited, “I have told on my blog and microblog that I did paint Cecilia Cheung in (Edison Chen’s) sex scandal, and I never denied that. But what I was focusing on is the state of mind of the audience, and the thoughts triggered by the scandal itself. I just used the art of the oil painting to exhibite the incident.
