Pictures: Beach in Qingdao invaded by algae

The biggest beach in Qingdao City (青岛市), a major seaport and popular tourist destination in China, was invaded by a large amount of overgrown green algae on July 14. It was said one of the main causes of this phenomenon is the excessive use of nitrates that farmers use to feed pigs.
