On July 8, photos about several traffic wardens fighting with each other in Danyang County (丹阳县), Zhenjiang City (镇江市), Jiangsu Province (江苏省) were uploaded to the Internet and aroused heated discussions online. The City Channel of Jiangsu Satellite TV station interviewed the local police authority about this matter and made a report. In the interview, the leader of the police authority explained the dispute was caused by the fact that one traffic warden’s saliva flew onto another traffic warden’s body when he spat. It was learned that these traffic wardens are working for two separate traffic police forces; one is Zhenjiang highway patrol police office and the other is Danyang County’s local traffic police office. It looked they were disputing over their territory, as the location they were fighting at is the “overlapping zone” that the two traffic police forces control.
Now, it was said that the police wardens involved in the fighting have been given the disciplinary punishment.
