A pervert who was suspected of molesting a woman passenger on a subway train in Shanghai was arrested by the local police, according to a Sina Weibo post.
At around 7:45 a.m. of June 13 during the rush hour, when the crowded No. 1 subway train that Ms. Chen was riding on stopped by the Pengpu Xinchun Station, a man, in his 30s, got on the train and stood by her right side.
When the train was approaching the People’s Square Station, Ms. Chen, wearing denim shorts, suddenly felt something liquid and hot falling on her leg.
“In the beginning I thought it was someone’s food for breakfast,” said Ms. Chen. But soon she realized that it was the cum from the man standing next to her right.
Ms. Chen took out her mobile photo to call police, but the man grabbed away her phone. Angry woman seized it back again.
The two then fell into an argument on the platform, which aroused attention from other passengers. The pervert was soon surrounded by the onlookers and security guards, but he still managed to sneak away in the crowd when the security guards were questioning both of them.
“He’s wearing a ring. He’s possibly married,” the victim was quoted as saying.
Through the work of local police and help from the eye-witnesses, the suspect was finally nabbed at night of the same day.
On summer days, the women are vulnerable to be taken advantage of by perverts, especially in the crowded areas, such as the subways, buses, and shopping malls.
The police have intensified their crackdown on such incident.
In another case this week, another man who used his mobile phone to get sneak shots under a woman’s short skirt on a subway platform in Shanghai was seized too by the police.
