Man sentenced to 1 year in prison for blogging his experience of visiting prostitutes

A man, surnamed Lin, born in Sept. 1988 in Guangxi (广西), started using the net name “Foshan Artillery (佛山大炮)” in March 2009 to post articles and pictures sharing his experiences of visiting prostitutes on his NetEase blog.

Until Nov. 2010, Lin has published 48 articles and 171 photos related to his go-whoring experience, which have attracted hundreds of thousands of views.

Lin said his first time to visit prostitutes was at his 17 years old, when he was working in Meizhou (梅州) and one of his friends took him to a hair salon. Since then, visiting prostitutes was as normal as having meals every day to him. From 2005 to 2010, he has been going whoring for around 300 times.

Lin related his experience of visiting prostitutes every time with details in his blog entries. He not only told the name of the place, but also the concrete time, content of sex services, prices, and his rating to the services.

Lin also disclosed it was normal for him that he went to the sex shops once to twice a day, and sometimes even three times a day.

Lin’s act aroused heated discussions online, and attracted Foshan police’s attention too. Lin was finally arrested by police on Nov. 21, 2010, and sentenced to 1 year in jail for the crime of disseminating pornographic items.
