Head of Jiangyong Education Bureau in Hunan Helps His Son Cheat on National College Entrance Exams

On June 8, Mao Huadong, Chief of Education Bureau of Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, was caught violating the principle to walk into the classroom for National College Entrance Exams where Mao’s son was taking the exams and help him cheat on the exams, by the teachers who supervised the exams and also the Video Surveillance staff at the No. 1 High School of Jiangyong County, Hunan Province.

The No. 1 High School soon reported the case to higher authorities, and the county government formed a commission of discipline inspection to start investigation immediately. On June 13, the meeting of the county standing committee decided to suspend Mao from his post for investigation. And in the same day Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Provincial Department of Supervision, the Provincial Department of Education, and other governmental departments formed an investigation team together too, to come to the county to investigate.

At the moment, the case is under thoroughly in-depth investigation. And any persons involved will be severely dealt with according to the law, after the investigation.
